Market Brief – Friday 11/20/2020

Stocks fell slightly in early trading and were fighting to move higher in early trading but were not having much luck. Treasury yields also fell in overnight trading and were slowly moving lower in early trading.

After trading sideways most of the day, stocks fell in the last hour of trading to close lower on the day. The big winner in today’s trading session was Treasury bonds, as yields fell most of the day after Treasury Secretary Mnuchin informed the Federal Reserve that many emergency lending facilities granted to the Fed during the March liquidity crisis would be ending on December 31st and a few others in 90 days.
